Sporadic is just the right word!

Sporadic - definition from Mr Google 'occurring at irregular intervals or only in a few places; scattered or isolated.' I think starting this blog in 2005 and making a second post in 2015 is definitely sporadic.

Why am I writing now? Do I have aims, goals....? This may well be one of my greatest downfalls, that I don't set goals or have any particular aim. hence I have know idea where I am going so don't know when I have got there. Now I know why I called this Sporadic Ramblings!!

I would love to be a regular journaler but I never seem to sit down with a pen or pencil in my hand long enough to do this. I gaze adoringly at some of the amazing art journalers out there in cyber space and wish I was that clever but, again, I never actually sit down and do anything. What I do do alot of is spending time online, reading emails, looking at Pinterest, keeping up with friends and family on Facebook. So maybe an online journal might be more natural for me. Time will tell!

So my plan is to try and post something each day even if it is just a Bible verse that has had meaning or a quote or picture from something I have seen that day. So today I am going to start with a prayer that I saw on a blog this last week.

Disturb us, Lord, when
We are too pleased with ourselves,
When our dreams have come true
Because we dreamed too little,
When we arrived safely
Because we sailed too close to the shore.
Disturb us, Lord, when
With the abundance of things we possess
We have lost our thirst
For the waters of life;
Having fallen in love with life,
We have ceased to dream of eternity
And in our efforts to build a new earth,
We have allowed our vision
Of the new Heaven to dim.
Disturb us, Lord, to dare more boldly,
To venture on wilder seas
Where storms will show Your mastery;
Where losing sight of land,
We shall find the stars.
We ask you to push back
The horizons of our hopes;
And to push back the future
In strength, courage, hope, and love.

This we ask in the name of our Captain,
Who is Jesus Christ.

This has got to be one of the most awesome places on earth - Lake Waikaremoana. Here is a special place where you are close to God - the awesome God that created this planet and every awesome thing on it.
